A T-Shirt for the Rest of Us

People are always assuming that I’m Irish. I get it; I do generally look like I’m on my way to Riverdance rehearsals. Mostly it’s harmless. But I do get a bit nervous when St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, and people bust out those “Kiss me, I’m Irish” shirts. I most definitely do not want to participate. I’ve toyed with the idea of making a T-shirt that spells it out very clearly. Perhaps by inverting the current slogan, to read: “Get away from me, I’m not Irish.”

Anyone with similar concerns (or just general misanthropy) is welcome to use my design. And to anyone who does celebrate: Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

You should actually make those shirts and sell them.

Definitely. People love novelty shirts they can only wear once a year.
